Going Through the Change

Well, we had to make the switch. Our outdated software bit the dust with the advent of HTML 5 and we are no longer compatible with Internet Explorer in Windows 8. I hate the fact that Apple dumped us once again. We lost our hosting, our syncing, our commenting, and our log of how many people have visited our site over the past three years.

The scramble to choose a new website development package has been the worst. iWeb was the easiest program to create websites — ever! For the time being I've had to find a program which operates similar to iWeb, until I can learn to design pages in one of the more complex web development packages.

I figured the most critical part of keeping our website going was the posting of my weekly blog, and then we can build back from there. The program I am using now will not import anything from our previous site, but it operates much like the other program I used and will allow me to get started immediately posting this blog.

We are sorry that many cannot access the blogs for the last three weeks under our old site, but I will try to find a way to publish them in this blog once I am up to speed.

I know most of you want to know how my birthday went last Monday. All I can say is, they still love me and have many great ways of showing it. So many of the people of Calvary are dedicated to the Lord, their church, and their Pastor. It gives me a great sense that we will make it, grow, and fulfill the vision God has placed upon our church and our lives.

I'm going to make this short today and try to get some actual website construction done over the next week. Pray for me as I once again sit down and re-learn this technology.
